Inspiration

When I began this journey I knew I wanted to do write about it. I thought back to the movie Julie and Julia and the thought of an interactive blog appealed to me. I am thoroughly enjoying the process but would love for it to be more interactive.

  1. I've increased my water intake a whole bunch. I bought a tupperware container that holds 64 ounces and my goal is to drink a whole container at work every day. I need to see it all at once in order to gage how its going...if, by the afternoon I have not consumed very much I start setting a timer for 1/2 hour or maybe an hour and when it goes off it reminds me to drink some water...doing this helps because I just get busy and forget to drink it! I also use the timer when I get cravings for something I really shouldn't eat. I will drink a whole glass of water and set the timer for an hour and get busy! If I can wait that hour the craving sometimes goes away--or I have talked myself into a smaller portion--or I have figured out a healthy alternative that will satisfy me. I dunno...it works (sometimes) for me! BTW...you're doing great, keep up the good work. I used your bead idea for a friend at Curves who recently hit her goal of losing 50 lbs..I filled a pretty jar with 50 pretty beads..it was girly and pretty and made me happy to look at it. She was touched and loves her visual reminder of what she doesn't have anymore. Have a great weekend! ~Heidi
